UK — WPP-owned Millward Brown has acquired Ecuador-based market research company Habitus.
Habitus was founded in 2002, is based in Quito and employs 80 people. Its revenues in 2014 will be $5 million and its clients include the Interamerican Development Bank, Coca-Cola, SAB Miller and Nestlé. It provides demographic surveys and quantitative and qualitative analysis.
This acquisition is part of WPP’s strategy of investing in growing markets and sectors and its commitment to developing its data investment management capabilities in faster growth markets like Latin America and Ecuador.
It follows the recent announcement of Kantar’s acquisition of IBOPE.
