MassMutual customer analytics and research division expands

US — MassMutual has announced three new appointments to its customer analytics and research division.

Amit Phansalkar (pictured) joins as vice president and chief data scientist and Sears Merritt joins as assistant vice president and data scientist. Trevor Morgan also joins the data analytics team as a consultant.

Michael Fanning, executive vice president and head of MassMutual’s US Insurance Group, said: “These gentlemen bring another level of depth to MassMutual’s ability to access, analyse and interpret massive amounts of non-traditional data to help us make the right decisions to continuously improve the experiences our customers have with us.
