CANADA – Data quality services firm Maru/Blue has launched a public opinion research unit and appointed pollster John Wright to lead as its executive vice-president.
Maru/Blue Public Opinion will include omnibus and custom research, media polling release services, public affairs and community/stakeholder engagement surveys, membership and social media measurement, and qualitative research.
It will operate in Canada and the US, with global clients via Maru/Blue’s offices in Europe and Latin America. The US operation will be headquartered in New York City.
Wright (pictured), a partner at communications and opinion research consultancy Dart Insight and Communications, previously managed the agency of record polling for media outlets including the Associated Press, Reuters International, CNN International and the Economist.
In addition to his research work, he will be the media spokesperson for Maru/Blue polling releases.
Wright takes up the role effective from 1st July and will also remain as a partner at Dart Insight and Communications.
