The Y Combinator Continuity Fund is led by Ali Rowghani, the former Twitter COO. As part of the deal, Rowghani will join Segment’s board of directors.

Segment allows businesses to collect and send online data to different analytics and marketing tools, as well as to combine that data with customer information from other services.

"Every round of funding has allowed us to grow the customer base that we serve, and invest in new parts of our core product and platform (more on this soon)," said Peter Reinhardt, CEO. "This funding is no different, and we’re incredibly excited about what’s coming down the pike on product."

Existing Segment investors Accel, Thrive, NEA and Ron Conway’s SV Angel also participated in the funding round.
