CANADA — KPMG International has launched @gov, an online resource designed to deliver insights to public sector leaders around the world.
According to the announcement, @gov offers insight into how governments can best respond to the transformative change demanded by trends such as economic interconnectedness, public debt, climate change and urbanisation, which were all ‘megatrends’ identified in the company’s Future State 2030 report.
The theme of @gov for Q3 2016 – the resource will be published on an ongoing basis – is ‘transforming government in the age of technology', with insight into: digital identification, public policy imperatives surrounding the rise of autonomous vehicles, and cyber security and government vulnerability to cybercrime.
"Through our government practices around the world, we have insight into the common issues concerning the public sector globally, while also appreciating the significance of the local environment," said Nick Chism, global chair of government, infrastructure and healthcare, KPMG International (pictured).
"@gov is a resource that we believe will enable a constructive discussion on these important perspectives."
