Kantar Worldpanel launches in Egypt

EGYPT — Kantar Worldpanel has continued its expansion into Africa with the launch of a consumer panel in Egypt.

This follows the launch earlier this year of similar panels in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana.

Kantar Worldpanel’s Egyptian consumer panel is the result of a collaboration with TNS, a fellow Kantar group research agency. It will cover both urban and rural areas.

Josep Montserrat, Global CEO of Kantar Worldpanel, said: “Egypt is the third largest economy in Africa with a population that is set to exceed one hundred million people by 2030.

“This makes it an important market for all FMCG companies and represents a significant business opportunity.”
