ITALY — Retail and shopper data firm Kantar Retail – part of the WPP group – has acquired sales automation software firm XTEL.
XTEL was founded in 1991 and is headquartered in Bologna, Italy. Consumer goods manufacturers use its software to support sales strategies and processes, including sales planning, trade promotion management, retail execution and advanced pricing.
In a statement, WPP said: “The combined Kantar Retail/XTEL offer will help clients effectively to harness the power of big data through the use of solutions that bring together industry-dedicated features, advanced analytics, mobile and cloud.”
XTEL’s unaudited revenues for the year ended 31 December 2013 were €8.3m with gross assets of €800,000.
