Kantar Public changes name to Verian
In its announcement, Verian said that its rebrand will affect all operating markets across Europe, Asia-Pacific and the US.
Verian divested from Kantar Group in September 2022 and sold to private equity firm Trilantic Europe for an undisclosed fee.
Former Kantar chief executive Eric Salama joined the business as global chair in September last year in the wake of the sale to Trilantic Europe.
The new name – Verian – combines the Latin words for ‘truth’ and ‘the qualities of’, according to the company.
Dr Michelle Harrison (pictured), global chief executive officer at Verian, said: “After seven years, we have now completed our journey as Kantar Public, which was formerly a division of Kantar. Today, as an independent business, we start the next phase of our journey as Verian.
“I want to thank our Verian teams around the world for their support, commitment and dedication to maintaining a relentless focus on the needs and priorities of our clients and partners as we continue to help solve the next generation of public policy challenges. We look forward to sharing more in the coming weeks.”
