TV audience measurement firm hires Justin Sampson, former CRM director for ITV Sales, as its new UK managing director
Justin Sampson has been appointed AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (ABGNMR) new managing director in the UK.
He will begin his new role on 18 April, replacing Peter Wilcox who has been the company’s MD for the past four years.
AGBNMR told Research that Wilcox is presently negotiating a new position within the agency, but declined to disclose exactly what role he is being lined up for.
Sampson previously spent 18 months as director of customer relationship management at UK television network ITV Sales, a position he left in March this year.
Prior to that, Sampson spent nine years at industry body the Radio Advertising Bureau, latterly as managing director.
AGBNMR currently holds the metering, data collection and processing contracts for Barb, the UK’s trading currency for TV advertising space.
Sampson said: “It goes without saying that measuring television audiences is increasingly complex and significant issues need to be addressed in the next year.”
“The challenge is to build on AGBNMR’s technical expertise and deliver a service that will meet the needs of Barb’s customers as the UK moves rapidly to a fully digital future.”
