US – Technology research and advisory firm Information Services Group (ISG) has acquired artificial intelligence (AI) contracting platform Agreemint from its founders.
The acquisition, which was for undisclosed terms, will help ISG develop future tools and is part of a strategy by ISG to develop or acquire software-as-a-system platforms to complement its advisory business and increase revenue.
ISG has partnered with Agreemint since 2021, and said the acquisition would improve ISG’s GovernX vendor compliance and risk management platform.
Peter Graham, founder at Agreemint, will join ISG in an executive role after the acquisition.
Agreemint uses AI to help clients negotiate better contracts by suggesting language proven to be legally compliant, governable and agreeable to both parties based upon analysis of previous contracting efforts.
The software also anticipates language sticking points and includes a clause library that proposes pre-approved clause alternatives.
Michael Connors, chairman and chief executive at ISG, said: “Our acquisition of Agreemint creates the ultimate platform for enterprises to accelerate time to contract, keeping pace with their speed of technology adoption and partnership formation.”
Graham said: “Agreemint’s AI-powered negotiating and contracting tools, coupled with GovernX’s extensive vendor compliance and risk management capabilities, makes GovernX the most complete solution for contract lifecycle management on the market today.”
