Insights Career Network seeks financial support
Formed in 2022, ICN is run by volunteers and brings together marketing, consumer, user and business research professionals, who share experience and resources to help others develop their careers through efforts including virtual community events.
The group currently has over 2,300 members, and also maintains a list of active insights job seekers.
The ICN is seeking contributions of $5 or more to establish itself as a 501(c)( 3 ) non-profit organisation.
Funds will support initial startup costs and operational expenses, according to a post on the ICN website, with the first $5,000 raised being applied directly to one-time startup costs, including working with a non-profit formation expert.
The next $5,000 raised will fund one year of operational costs, including online communications, insurance and upgrades to the ICN website and member community platforms.
This initial $10,000 would allow the group to establish itself as a non-profit, upgrade its member services, and will mean ‘the community’s decisions are made by a governing board of directors’, according to the ICN.
Among the activities carried out by the group is a regular piece of research, the ICN Census Report, which explores the career struggles faced by insights professionals.
