IAB Australia appoints director of research

AUSTRALIA— The Interactive Advertising Bureau has appointed Gai Le Roy to the newly created position of director of research, starting in November.

Le Roy (pictured) currently serves as general manager of audience research at Fairfax Media, and will chair the IAB’s measurement and and research councils once she joins the organisation next month.

She will also review the IAB’s current research efforts, making sure that the body’s work provides “thought leadership” on consumer behaviour, technology, brand, multi-channel marketing, measurement and analytics.

Le Roy had previously worked for the IAB as programmes manager and has had spells as insights manager at NineMSN and VP of research and audience measurement at Nielsen Online.

Paul Fisher, CEO of IAB Australia, said: “We are delighted to welcome Gai Le Roy back to the IAB as Director of Research. She brings extensive industry knowledge, project management and research expertise to her new role and I look forward to working with her again.”
