UK – Customer platform business HubSpot has become a member of the European Union’s Cloud Code of Conduct (Cloud CoC).
The EU’s Cloud CoC, which was approved by European data protection authorities in 2021, provides a framework for cloud companies to adhere to high standards of data protection.
HubSpot said that it hoped joining the Cloud CoC would help the company contribute to collective efforts to harmonise best practice in the cloud technology industry.
Nicholas Knoop, data protection officer at HubSpot, said: “At HubSpot, we’re committed to protecting our customer’s data and building trust in our cloud services.
“The EU Cloud CoC demonstrates transparency and accountability in data management, playing a key role in advancing privacy protection globally.
“We’re thrilled to contribute to the general assembly, driving best practices and maintaining GDPR compliance as HubSpot and our customers continue to grow and innovate.”
