UK — BBC director of audiences James Holden is moving to a new role next month, as marketing and audiences director for BBC News and Current Affairs.
Holden has been the BBC’s director of audiences for nearly four years, leading audience research, audience planning, audience measurement and customer contact teams.
He joined the BBC more than a decade ago, initially as a member of the marketing strategy team. Later he moved to the audiences team, and led the marketing and audiences teams for BBC Future Media, BBC Radio and BBC Journalism (News and Sport), as well as the central strategy and measurement teams.
Holden takes up his new on 2 December. The BBC says it will start recruitment for a new director of audiences soon.
