Half of employers anticipate marketing skills shortages
The research, from recruitment consultancy Robert Walters, is based on a poll of 425 hiring managers across the UK.
The study revealed that 20% of these managers believed that Britain’s decision to leave the EU would exacerbate the shortage.
“Despite economic uncertainty following Britain’s decision to leave the EU, a significant number of employers are still planning to recruit marketing professionals in the second half of 2016," said Ed Glover, associate director, marketing recruitment at Robert Walters.
"However, these efforts may be hampered due to a widespread perception that top calibre candidates will be difficult to source.”
