GQR launches Canadian office
Don Guy will be managing director of GQR Canada and vice-president in GQR’s global practice. He is one of Canada’s most respected strategists and pollsters, having led four consecutive come-from-behind major election wins from 2003-2013. Along with his political clients he has worked with corporations instigating research-driven strategies throughout his 25 year career. Guy is also a founding partner in Kool Topp & Guy, a Canadian public affairs boutique.
In addition to advising some of the world’s most prominent political leaders – from Bill Clinton to Nelson Mandela to Tony Blair – GQR has counselled CEOs and other leaders at many global corporations, including Microsoft, Boeing and CNBC.
The research and strategic consulting firm’s new Toronto-based operation takes its global offices to five, joining Washington, New York, London and Buenos Aires.
Guy said: “I am returning to my first professional love – polling. As communications shifts from relying on gut instinct to a data-driven approach, insights into how campaigns build and mobilise support are becoming relevant to business.”
