Google buys marketing analytics firm Adometry

US — Google has acquired marketing analytics firm Adometry, developers of a cross-channel campaign attribution platform.

In a blog post, CEO Paul Pellman (pictured) said there would be “no immediate changes” to Adometry’s current offering our contracts. Its customers include big brands, such as Barclaycard, Citigroup, Hyundai and Levi’s, as well as agencies and publishers.

“Longer-term,” Pellman said, “we’re excited to begin working with our new colleagues at Google, including the Google Analytics Premium team, to offer great attribution solutions for both our customers and theirs.”

The acquisition comes more than a year after Adometry raised $8m in a financing round.
