UK— Arena Media has hired Work Research co-founder Justin Gibbons to serve part-time as head of behavioural economics.
Gibbons, a former director of strategic services at media agency PHD, sees the appoinment as part of “a bigger trend towards really embedding insight and research into agencies”.
He said: “I’m really looking forward to having a slice of agency life again and getting really close to clients and their needs.”
The move further cements ties between Work and Arena. Gibbons has previously worked as a consultant to Arena, and the media agency’s chief strategic officer and co-founder Charlie Makin is Work’s chairman.
Gibbons will continue to lead Work, which launched in 2006.
