GfK sees moderate growth in first six months of 2015

GERMANY — GfK’s sales were €747.2m for the first half of 2015; an increase of 7.1% compared with the same period last year.

Adjusted operating income for the first six months was €71.2m. This is an increase of 3.7% compared with the same period last year.

The Consumer Experiences sector, which looks at the “who, why and how of consumption”, saw sales decreases that “were deliberately accepted during the realignment process”, but continues to stabilise, according to the Group’s report.

The Consumer Choices sector, which is concerned with point-of-sales tracking, continues to grow: sales rose during the first half of the year to €324.2m; an increase of 8.5%.

All regions except Northern Europe showed organic growth. Latin America, as well as Asia and the Pacific, achieved the strongest organic growth.
