GERMANY — GfK has completed its takeover of consumer choice sector subsidiaries in the world’s three largest market research countries.
The company increased its shares to 100% in America’s GfK Etilize, German-based media control GfK International and GfK UK Entertainments over the last couple of months.
GfK originally acquired a 51% stake in US e-commerce data provider Etilize in 2008 and completed its takeover in April.
Media monitoring and analytics provider for books, music, DVDs, videos and computer games media control became part of a joint venture with GfK in 2003 and the group became the sole shareholder in March.
March also saw GfK acquiring all remaining shares in GfK UK Entertainments in March, increasing its stake from 70% in the sales data provider for the games industry in the UK and the music and video industries in Ireland.
