US – Data Quality Co-op, a platform to measure data quality in market research, has attracted $1.25m in funding to back its development.
Data Quality Co-op (DQC) is an independent first-party data quality clearing-house, headquartered in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The platform aggregates data quality signals from multiple sources, offering measurement metrics that can be used by businesses to compare their data quality with broader industry standards.
The funding round was led by Kickstart Fund, joined by SaaS Venture Capital and Service Provider Capital, with other investors from the consumer insights, technology, and finance sectors.
DQC, established earlier this year, said the investment would help to support further development of its platform. The company worked in partnership with early clients to develop the platform, which audits and certifies quality management programmes and outcomes.
Ian Haynes, co-founder of DQC, said: “Our platform strengthens the quality signals for everyone in the ecosystem of market research and adjacent industries. The way it works allows companies to not only measure their own data but also improve collaboration across the supply chain.”
Chief executive and founder Bob Fawson said: “This funding round enables us to accelerate platform development and pursue our goal of helping the sector fully realise the transformative potential of its data.”
