US — Think Big Analytics, a company founded by a former Quantcast executive to help companies use big data analytics tools, has emerged from stealth mode with $3m in seed funding.
The company already works with some major firms, including Johnson & Johnson, Intel and Nasdaq, as well as media researchers Kantar Media and Quantcast.
Think Big doesn’t offer analytics technology itself but instead works with companies to prioritise initiatives and identify technical and skills gaps. From there it tries to figure out the best big analytics hardware and software for the job.
Founder and CEO Ron Bodkin (pictured) was previously vice president of engineering at Quantcast. His co-founders are Rick Farnell, president, and Kate Bodkin, vice president of operations.
Think Big’s seed funding came from former Cisco executive Daniel Scheinman and the WI Harper Group.
