Former IBM executive joins Material in Apac

Kalra will lead Material’s Apac operations. Specialising in business transformation and demand engineering, he will work with global teams to deliver the company’s insights, design and marketing technology capabilities to clients across the region.
Previously a senior partner with IBM, Kalra led business transformation services for the company in India and South Asia, managing a portfolio across digital strategy, AI transformation and customer experience (CX).
The appointment comes as New York-headquartered Material continues to expand its geographical footprint.
Before becoming Material in 2020, the company was LRW Group, and prior to that was Lieberman Research Worldwide.
Laila Worrell, chief executive, Material, said: “This is a transformative time for the industry and our clients. Raman’s expertise in AI-driven transformation and success in Apac makes him the ideal leader as we deepen our commitment to clients who compete in and across this vibrant, growing market.”
