UK— ComScore has appointed Laurence Bird, former head of strategic planning and research at IAB UK, to the newly created position of senior research director for the EMEA region.
Bird (pictured) joins the online measurement firm following a three-year stint as an independent strategy, research and marketing consultant and previously served as global digital research director at CNN International. As well as her role at ad trade body IAB UK, she held the role of vice president and board member at IAB Europe.
ComScore said that the new role has been created to “aim for accountability and transparent research methodologies” and to support clients in the region.
Mike Read, SVP and managing director of ComScore Europe, said: “We are very pleased to welcome Laurence Bird, with her strong reputation and experience, to our research team and our growing London office. In her capacity as senior research director Laurence will be responsible for presenting ComScore’s research methodologies and reflecting European demands.”
