Former Google director joins Circana
Marentic (pictured) was previously director of global client agency services at Google, and also had prior roles as general manager at Ford’s Iconics business, including the car manufacturer’s Bronco, Mustang and Raptor brands.
Other roles held by Marentic include president at Lincoln Asia-Pacific and chief marketing officer at Ford’s autonomous vehicle business, where she helped develop the brand, marketing and consumer experience to launch Ford’s first self-driving department.
In her new role, Marentic will replace Nishat Mehta, who has decided to depart Circana following six years leading the company’s media, product and data science teams.
Circana is the new name for consumer behaviour firms Information Resources, Inc (IRI) and The NPD Group, who merged last year.
Kirk Perry, chief executive at Circana, said: “I am confident Amy is the ideal next leader for our global solutions business, with unique experience helping the world’s largest and most recognised advertisers grow their businesses through technology solutions and digital transformations.
“Under Amy’s direction, our solutions team will continue to integrate, scale, and innovate Circana’s leading technology and data assets.”
