US — FocusVision, a provider of video streaming technology for qual research, has acquired Revelation, a developer of digital qual technologies.
The deal will see Revelation’s mobile and web apps integrated with the FocusVision product suite, with Revelation founder Steve August becoming FocusVision’s chief innovation officer.
August said: “Qualitative research has seen an explosion of new technology over the last ten years, but researchers have needed to go to separate providers for both face-to-face and digital methods. Through joining forces, we are able to provide all-encompassing qualitative research support.”
Eric Grosgogeat, FocusVision’s CEO, added: “Before making this acquisition, we evaluated the different qualitative research platforms and selected Revelation because of its cutting edge design, unique activity-based approach and ability to support a myriad of qualitative methods including bulletin boards, mobile diaries, projective and innovation exercises.”
