UK – Hybrid consumer insights agency and cloud platform provider FlexMR has added a new user interface to improve participants’ survey experience to its InsightHub platform.
The Conversational Surveys interface is designed to feel like a natural conversation that listens and reacts to responses in real-time.
The tool is equipped with a variety of survey answer options and uses generative artificial intelligence in FlexMR’s PromptAI tool to adapt and probe in a personalised manner.
This new survey user interface engages participants by mimicking organic conversation, feeding back new questions with a variety of answer options including single and multiple-choice responses, free text responses and recorded audio clips.
FlexMR tech lead Nana Akwah said: “Conversational surveys bring a fresh, participant-centric approach to customer feedback, styled in a format that mirrors the familiar chat interfaces that people use daily.
“By creating a natural, dialogue-driven experience, we are able to uncover richer context, offering a more personal way for brands to connect and understand their customers.”
Harriet Williams, insight manager at FlexMR, added: “Conversational surveys present a much-needed opportunity to reduce the level of formality surrounding survey completion, especially in business-to-consumer research.
“This is of crucial importance, especially when collecting sensitive data from respondents where formality can create a sense of pressure to respond in a ‘correct’ or ‘socially acceptable’ way. Our new conversations surveys also work as a great alternative to traditional surveys where shorter, ad-hoc alternatives are required.”
