US— Inside Network, a publisher of news and market research on Facebook, social games and mobile apps, has been acquired by WebMediaBrands, the company formerly known as Jupitermedia.
Inside Network was founded by Justin Smith who joins WebMediaBrands as vice president of social media.
The company was bought for $7.5m in cash and more than four million shares.
WebMediaBrands, led by CEO Alan Meckler, publishes the AllFacebook, Social Times and AllTwitter blogs.
