Experian and BSkyB launch insight and database JV
Experian will divest part of its UK database marketing business into the new venture, in which Sky will hold a majority stake. The deal is set to complete by the end of June, when the two companies will announce a name for the new venture.
Experian said that the new venture would provide hosted database clients with insight and customer management services. The firm said in a statement: “By injecting part of its UK hosted database solutions into this new entity, Experian will further tighten the strategic focus of its marketing services portfolio on core data and analytics.”
An Experian spokesman said that Duncan Painter, formerly CEO of Experian Integrated Marketing, will be managing director of the joint venture.
