European scheme looks to boost research careers
The Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Choose Europe for Science initiative looks to help Europe retain its research talent as well as attracting researchers from around the world by offering stable employment.
The call is open as of 1st October and is open to applications in any scientific field.
The scheme is testing a new model in which host organisations will receive EU funding to employ post-doctoral researchers and commit to employing them beyond the EU-funded phase of the project.
It also aims to spread MSCA best practices for high-quality recruitment, training and working conditions across participating institutions.
Host institutions can include universities, research institutions or facilities, companies including SMEs, government or public institutions, museums, hospitals, NGOs or any other eligible entity based in an EU member state or Horizon Europe associated country.
Each beneficiary may receive up to €3.5m, and projects must recruit at least three postdoctoral researchers for a period of up to five years.
Organisations must submit their applications using the EU Funding & Tenders Opportunities Portal by 3rd December.
