European launch for The Sound

Europe People

UK— Canadian youth research agency The Sound has opened an office in London in the first step of its European expansion.

The firm has hired Andy Davidson, the ex vice-president of MTV Networks International research, to serve as managing director of the London office. He has spent the past eight years working in the youth research sector.

The London opening follows a 50% increase in revenue over the past year and the launch of an office in New York.

President Ian Pierpoint said: “We’ve listened to our clients and taken a different approach to the international research agency model.  As global clients re-centralise their research buying functions they want an agency that can deliver top quality local expertise at a centralised level.  We only employ senior market research professionals who can deliver smart, exciting and actionable global research.”
