Essence appoints Anna Berry as UK MD
Berry has been promoted from senior vice-president head of client services for Europe, Middle East and Africa (Emea).
Prior to Essence, Berry spent 19 years at Mediacom as business partner working across a large range of clients including Sky, Direct Line Group and T-Mobile. She began her career as an executive at BLM Group.
In her new role, Berry will support Emea chief executive Tim Irwin in helping grow the UK business, focusing on five key areas including analytics, creative, data and technology, media and strategy. As well as working in partnership with the client services and specialist teams, she will also be responsible for developing initiatives to drive sustainability, diversity, and inclusion.
The replacement head of client services for Essence Emea will be announced in due course.
Commenting on the appointment, Irwin said: “This is a critical role for our business in London and we couldn't have a better person to fill this position.
“Anna has made a significant contribution to our business since joining three years ago and in the last year she has been an inspiring leader of our client services practice. This promotion reflects our need to continue to drive our business forward, with senior leadership looking at all aspects of what we do.”
