UK – Customer data science company dunnhumby has appointed Jérôme Cochet as global managing director for media.
In the newly created role, Cochet (pictured) will be responsible for the company’s media business unit, which combines its customer data science, media capabilities and partnerships.
Cochet joins dunnhumby from online fashion platform Zalando, where he was managing director of media solutions.
The addition of Cochet follows the company’s recent appointments of Julie Jeancolas, formerly of Google Media Buying Solutions UK, as global head of media partnerships, and Criteo’s Alexandre Cotarmanac’h, who joined dunnhumby as global head of product media and customer engagement.
Guillaume Bacuvier, chief executive at dunnhumby, said: “These appointments mark another stage in dunnhumby’s transformation, as we evolve to meet the changing needs of our clients and their customers. Jérôme’s experience and leadership will shape the strategy of our media business and accelerate our plans for global growth.”
Dunnhumby managing director of UK and Ireland Matt McLellan left the business after 14 years last week to take on the role of customer propositions director at Tesco. The company’s client finance director Suro Majumder, who joined in 2017, has been appointed as head of UK and Ireland.
