US — A new report has forecast that the “tipping point” of digital ad spend overtaking TV in the US will arrive in 2017.

The 2015 Global Advertising Revenue Forecast from media investment agency Magna Global predicted that global ad revenue would increase by 4.8% to reach $536bn in 2015.

The report also claims that digital’s share of this expenditure would reach 30% in 2015. It has been one of the fastest growing sectors this year, showing a 17% rise in 2014 to a total of $142bn, and a growth of 15% projected for 2015.
