Dentsu drops use of Merkle brand in ANZ

The changes mean that Merkle will be integrated into Dentsu in the two countries, with all local business now serviced under the parent company’s branding.
The Merkle brand name will be retained for global and regional clients operating in Australia and New Zealand, where required.
Dentsu has also sold its Salesforce capability to Enduring Ventures, which is a long-term holding company based in the US.
The acquisition will support Enduring Ventures’ broader technology strategy, and will see Dentsu partner with the firm to keep continuity for clients, with the management team remaining in place.
The deal is expected to close in the third quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
Dentsu said that the changes would help reduce complexity and help focus attention on the needs of clients.
Rob Harvey, chief executive officer at Dentsu Australia and New Zealand, said: “Clients are telling us they want a clearer, more direct way to work with us.
“These changes are about responding to that by sharpening our focus on what we do best and making it easier for clients to access the full strength of Dentsu.”
