US— Website audience researcher Crowd Science has appointed Corey Leibow as president and chief executive officer.
He takes over from co-founder John Martin, who said: “We’re extremely excited to have Corey join the Crowd Science team.”
Leibow (pictured) was most recently ‘executive in residence’ at Plug and Play Tech Center, a business incubator for technology start-ups. Before that he was CEO of e-commerce software firm Mercado, which was sold to Omniture in 2008.
He said: “Online marketers and advertisers continue to clamour for better metrics and market research insights in this increasingly complex digital landscape, and I’m intent on fully capitalising on that opportunity at Crowd Science.”
Crowd Science’s flagship offering is its Audience Profiler application, which relies on website owners tagging pages of their site so that visitors can be randomly selected to take part in surveys.
Questions cover basic demographics through to information on product usage and attitudes, and these are tailored to the particular focus of site or a given section within it.
In April, Crowd Science added a Campaign Profiler tool that surveys site visitors to determine whether an ad campaign has reached its target audience.
