CANADA – The Canadian Research Insights Council (CRIC) has appointed Margaret Brigley, chief executive and partner at Narrative Research, as chair of its board for a two-year term.
Brigley (pictured) has been a member of the CRIC board since 2019. She is the first woman to chair the organisation.
Brigley succeeds Nik Nanos, who has been chair of the board since August 2022. Nanos will continue as a board member and as past-chair on the CRIC executive committee.
CRIC has also appointed Sam Pisani to the executive committee as vice-chair. Jason Zweig will continue as treasurer.
Following a call for nominations issued in May, Anastasia Arabia, Diana Lucaci, Sam Pisani, and Jason Zweig, took up a new three-year term on the CRIC board.
Brigley said: “I thank Nik for his exceptional leadership that has enabled CRIC to continue to grow in size and influence over the past two years. I am eager to collaborate with the board to advance CRIC’s role in helping members provide the quality insights that help businesses, governments, and not-for-profit organisations achieve their goals.”
