US/NORWAY— Confirmit has acquired CustomerSat, the enterprise feedback management software and services provider which was previously part of MarketTools.
Henning Hansen, Confirmit chief executive, said that bringing CustomerSat into the company fold would add about 20% to annual revenues and double its US workforce.
Henning said the two firms were complementary, though with a bit of overlap in the product offering. He said CustomerSat had “the type of clients that we really want more of” – big Fortune 500 customer like Salesforce, Pitney Bowes and Wells Fargo. The company has 120 clients in total.
He also praised CustomerSat’s service and support capabilities and its reporting and dashboard solutions as strong additions.
“Voice of the Customer is becoming the primary capability for companies looking to truly understand and deliver a customer-centric product or service,” Henning said. “Confirmit and CustomerSat have similar corporate cultures and a shared passion for building industry leading business solutions, and make perfect sense as partners to grow this space.”
Terms of the deal were not disclosed but the seller was TPG Capital, the private equity group that bought MarketTools late last year.
TPG sold the customer research arm of MarketTools to Dutch online research agency MetrixLab last month, while DIY survey software provider SurveyMonkey acquired its Zoomerang, ZoomPanel and TrueSample businesses in December.
