ComScore sues back over Nielsen patent claims
ComScore’s complaint, filed in a Virginia district court, accuses Nielsen of infringing on a patent relating to ‘systems and methods for user identification, user demographic reporting and collecting usage data usage biometrics’ (sic).
The firm, headed by CEO Magid Abraham (pictured), is seeking an injunction against further infringement and unspecified damages.
As reported yesterday, Nielsen has accused ComScore of infringing five of its patents. It also seeks an injunction and damages.
ComScore responded to the allegations in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission. “Based on an initial review of these claims, ComScore believes that they are without merit,” the firm said.
