Climate X hires former HSBC climate risk lead

UK – Climate risk financial data platform Climate X has appointed Manuel Vicente as vice-president of commercial strategy.

Vicente will help to lead Climate X’s efforts on integrating climate risk technology and analysis into global financial strategies in his new role.

Before taking up his new role, Vicente was an associate at CS&A International, and also had a 21-year spell at HSBC, including helping to lead the firm’s climate risk work.

Lukky Ahmed, chief executive officer at Climate X, said: “Manuel’s unparalleled expertise in applying climate change into business through a financial risk lens is a game-changer for our mission to equip customers with actionable climate insights.
