US— Clear Channel has appointed former Nielsen executive Radha Subramanyam as executive vice president of sales and marketing research for its media and entertainment arm.
Subramanyam will be responsible for developing, aggregating and analysing consumer data to help support the company’s ad sales teams and advertisers, reporting direct to chairman and CEO John Hogan.
She will also build and lead a new team of research professionals within the company, which manages 850 radio stations serving 150 US cities.
Hogan said: “Consumer research, helping us to better understand the lifestyles of our listeners, what they want and expect from their listening experience and how they interact with our partners’ products and services, has always been one of our company’s key priorities, and Radha will be instrumental in supporting our compelling story with accurate, credible data and information.”
At Nielsen, Subramanyam was senior vice president of media and advertiser insights and analytics. Before that she was vice president and head of corporate and media research at Yahoo.
