Cello posts 14% rise in first-half revenue, tops £71m
Gross profit was up 7.9% to £34.4m while headline profit before tax was up 11% to £3.5m.
By division, Cello Health’s gross profit was up 5.5% to £17.3m while operating margin came in at 21.6% compared with 25% a year ago.
Meanwhile, Cello Consumer saw a strong six months with gross profit up 11.6% to £16.7m. Operating margin was 7.3%, up from 1.8% last year.
Cello Group chief executive Mark Scott (pictured) said: “The refocusing of the group last year into Cello Health and Cello Consumer has begun to demonstrate its potential to deliver strong performance. The group had an excellent first six months of the year in both overseas and domestic markets. We look forward to continued progress in the second half and a strong full year outcome.”
