Bonney forms Deep Blue Thinking
Bonney left insight agency ABA Research in March this year, after just under a year in the role, saying he wanted to return to more strategic work adding value to brands.
He has more than 20 years’ experience working on client-side research – as well as his four year stint at Camelot, Bonney has worked at EE, Orange and Marks & Spencer.
With Deep Blue Thinking, Bonney said there were three main aspects to the work he was doing: working at an advisory level with brands, helping to build their insight capability; training agencies on the client-side perspective of market research; and working with agile tools to take advantage of the latest thinking to work more quickly.
Deep Blue Thinking officially opened its doors in June.
“My philosophy has always been to build strong partnerships and relationships with people across the industry and so I’m trying to build a business based on an agile, networked approach to deliver great work for clients,” he said.
