Samson (pictured) was previously at ethnographic agency Revealing Reality, where he led behavioural insight and policy evaluation projects for British Cycling, FSA, Ofgem and other government departments and regulators.

Other roles have included director at social research agency, Opinion Leader; working at GfK in its family division and at Kaleidoscope, Barnardo’s and the Children’s Society before that.

Managing director and co-founder, Dawn Hands, said: “Qual is a strategically important growth area for BMG. Neil joins us with 25 years’ experience of qualitative research across a wide range of methods including deliberative research, ethnography and behavioural science. Neil is in a strong position to grow this area of the business and advise our clients on how best to conduct research that generates a positive impact.”
