UK – Leeds-based insight technology agency Blue Yonder has launched its Level 4 Market Research Executive Apprentice Scheme, which will bring in at least five apprentices over the next two years.

Blue Yonder has appointed two apprentices to the scheme to date: Adam Pottage (pictured above, with Blue Yonder’s Jonathan Million) and Kenzo Atjom.

Apprentices will undertake a range of duties across various departments, including fieldwork and data science, with the guidance of mentors.

Jonathan Million, chief executive, Blue Yonder, said: “We needed a solution to re-energise our recruitment, it’s important to have a broad set of skills and diversity that services our clients and fuels business growth."

The apprentice scheme is carried out in conjunction with MRS and is supported by professional organisation Swarm Training.

Million said: “The MRS Apprenticeship scheme is a breath of fresh air to our industry, focussing on 18+ school leavers or those already in the industry looking for a career pathway. We will now see a new entry point into our sector introducing different skillsets and alternative mindsets to sharpen up our offering.”

Jane Frost, chief executive, MRS, said: “I congratulate Blue Yonder on their first apprentices. This scheme is truly the best way to widen both the sector’s access to new talent streams and a great way of building diversity. It is never going to be an easy choice, but it will reward the effort. I am looking forward to seeing the future success of Blue Yonder’s apprentices, which will be ensured by all the support I know they will get from the agency.”
