Best Buy CMO resigns, replacement named

US— Best Buy’s president of digital Stephen Gillett has taken over responsibility for marketing and customer research in the wake of the resignation of chief marketing officer Barry Judge.

Judge (pictured) had been with Best Buy since 1999 and is leaving to “explore the next chapter in his career”, according to reports. Gillett, meanwhile, joined the retailer earlier this year.

Gillett was previously chief information officer at Starbucks and before that held the same role at Corbis, a digital media company owned by Microsoft founder Bill Gates.

Best Buy is currently looking for a new CEO after former boss Brian Dunn stepped down.
