SOUTH AFRICA – After operating independently for more than 10 years, the South African research business  set up by BDRC is coming back into the fold and rebranding as BDRC Africa.

Linda Findlay originally established BDRC South Africa in 1999 as a branch of BDRC UK, but the two companies have operated independently since 2005.

A new licensing agreement brings the company back into the fold as BDRC Africa. The new name reflects the company’s wider reach, thanks to its network of partners and associates across the continent.

Findlay said: “The new agreement gives our clients a range of new insight products, tailored specifically to African markets, as well as access to thought leadership in research globally through the group’s network of offices in Cape Town, London, Washington DC, Sydney, Singapore, Beijing and Jakarta.”

BDRC Africa clients will now have access to a wider team of industry sector specialists and multi-country research capabilities co-ordinated through the Cape Town office.

Cris Tarrant, CEO of the BDRC Group, said: “It is a pleasure to be working in partnership again with BDRC Africa, supporting Linda and her team while they continue to expand into some rapidly growing markets in Africa.”

The BDRC Group is the UK’s biggest independent research agency, comprising BDRC Continental, Perspective Research Services, ESA Retail, BDRC Asia, BDRC China, BDRC Australia, BDRC Americas, BDRC Africa, Alligator Research, Viewpoint and Holborn Focus.
