BBM Canada switches on PPM TV and radio panel
Arbitron CEO Michael Skarzynski said the PPM system, which is operated in Canada in partnership with TNS Media Research, is “uniquely suited to providing two currencies using one panel”.
The system replaces a previous electronic measurement system for TV and the diary system used to measure radio.
Jim MacLeod, president and CEO of BBM, said the move was an “exciting achievement” for the Canadian advertising industry.
The PPM system is currently being rolled out across the US for radio ratings, and is also in use in Belgium, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Kazakhstan.
