INDIA — The Indian TV rating body Broadcast Audience Research Council (BARC) has launched a mobile app to provide access to viewership data.
BARC India is a three-way alliance between broadcasters, advertisers and agencies. It released its first data set last year.
The BARC India app allows BARC India subscribers to access graphical representations of half-hourly programme impressions across all languages for the previous week.
In addition, subscribers can access gain/ loss information for the top 10 channels across genres, and for the top 20 channels by genre. Non-subscribers can access information on the top 10 brands, top programmes and top channels.
