AUSTRALIA— Orima, Colmar Brunton and Hall & Partners have been revealed as some of the biggest beneficiaries of a government splurge on market research in the past two years.
Adelaide Now reports that $31.1m has been spent on market research by Julia Gillard’s government since she became prime minister in July 2010.
The paper says that is twice as much as was spent by her predecessor Kevin Rudd, whose government shelled out $15.8m on research from December 2007 to mid-2010.
Data from the AusTender website showed Orima banking $13.8m in government contracts since July 2010, Colmar Brunton $9.8m and Hall & Partners $5.8m.
